Colin Edward Magowan
Colin Edward Magowan was born in Campbell River, BC, on September 18, 1979.
He was a loving son, brother and uncle. He fought a hard-painful battle and passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2020, in Calgary, AB. Colin was an incredible son that was always there for his family when they needed help. He was a huge support for his mother when we lost our father in 2015. Colin was an amazing uncle to his nephews and had an enormous passion for sports. He was always there to watch their hockey and baseball games. The kids loved hanging out with Colin for sleepovers, where they would play video games and watch movies. His passing has left an enormous hole in our family.
His many friends will dearly miss him. He always enjoyed spending time with his friends. Colin loved going on the NFL trips, golfing, camping, going to the lake and being a part of all his friends' extended families. Colin was a brother and son to more than just his immediate family as he had a huge extended family of friends and co-workers. He was a man with a big heart and a large presence in all the lives that he touched. Colin was a fantastic friend who was always there for others in their time of need. He cared for others more than himself. He was a funny man who had a way to make others laugh.
He was a safety professional who worked hard to ensure that his sites were safe for all of those around him. He brought a sense of humour with him and always treated others with respect.
He will be missed forever by his mother, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, dog and his MANY loving friends. We ALL love you, Colin! Thank you to our friends and family for their outpouring love and support during this time.
