1963 - 2020
On Thursday, July 9th, 2020, Clifton Reynold Thornton, a loving husband, and father of four children, passed away at the age of 56. Clifton was born on October 10th, 1963 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to Charles and Alice Thornton. Throughout his life, Clifton loved the Lord and had a passion for helping others. He also learned from these experiences whilst volunteering in various places. He combined those passions to become an Engineer, Project Manager, Father, Mentor, and teacher to many.
He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Clifton will be dearly missed but we know he is now at peace with the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Daphne; children, Calmirad, Reynuel, Linford and Samantha; mother, Alice; two brothers; two sisters; several cousins, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and in- laws and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 17th, 2020 at 10:00 am at Calgary Life Church (11400 27th Street SE, Calgary, AB). A Graveside Service will take place immediately after the service at the Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
