Clarita Garcera, 63 years of age, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Foothills Medical Centre surrounded by family and friends.
Clarita was born in Manila, the Philippines. From 1995-2000, she lived and worked in Israel. Upon moving to Calgary in 2015, she worked at an A&W and McDonald's, where she gained many close friends. Throughout her life, despite its struggles, Clarita maintained an optimistic approach to life through her witty jokes and silly personality. Her energetic and talkative personality always lit up the atmosphere of family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by friends and loved ones. She was a hardworker, a caring mother and grandmother, and a faithful Catholic.
Clarita is survived by her three children, Johanna, Josephine, and Joffrey; grandchildren, Bea, Johan, Jezica, Fhaye, J.B., and Christian; and siblings, Temen, Emma, and Julie. Now that she has peacefully passed, she is now rejoined with her deceased grandson, John; her deceased parents, Elena and Benjamin; and her deceased siblings, Virgie and Baltazar.
A private viewing will be held on January 8, 2023 for Clarita's family and close friends to give their final farewells before she is cremated and put to rest. A celebration of Clarita's life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13 Street NE – McKnight location) and will be followed by a small reception in the same location.
