Obituary for Christine Joan Kamplin
KAMPLIN, Christine Joan
It is with great sadness that we announce Christine Joan Bill (nee Kamplin) passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 3, 2019.
Christine will be forever remembered by her devoted husband, Brad; sister, Marianne; father-in-law, Russell; mother-in-law, Linda Mae; siblings, Alanna (Brad,) Gord (Jacquie,) and Mark (Sherry), as well as her nieces and nephews and cousins, to whom she was a devoted and loving and protective presence; not to mention many extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Irene, and her father, John.
Christine believed in the power of education and spent many years as a Montessori teacher. She will be fondly missed by the many families whose children she taught and influenced.
Christine also believed we should all try to leave the world better than we found it. Her first instinct was always to try to help people - whether through her budding new career as an addictions and community support worker, or as an unwavering source of support for the people who leaned on her.
When she wasn’t working Christine brought her own unique spirit to everything she cared about, from her two cats, to putting a spin on her favourite recipes.
The family would like to thank the first responders and the staff of the Rockyview General Hospital, who all fought so very hard to keep her with us.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Christine’s life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Choice Memorial in Calgary. Immediately following the Service, a small reception will be held in the Choice Memorial Foyer. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 3:00 pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with her generosity of spirit, please make a donation in Christine’s name to a worthy charity of your choice.
