Charles Taranhike passed away on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 at the age of 60. Charles was born on December 23, 1958 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He lived in Texas from 2001-2005 before moving to Calgary where he passed away on December 8, 2019.
Charles was a wise, principled man that lived with integrity and stood by his values. He loved people, sharing time with his community and keeping his roots strong. Family was where his heart was, starting with a deep relationship with his Grandmother whom he grew up spending Holidays with as a child. This love was soon shared with his childhood sweetheart Judith, after spending much time courting and then marrying. Their love soon turned into four children: son Fungai and daughters Kurai, Yemurai, Onai; and grew once again into five grandchildren, becoming the beloved grandfather (Sekuru) of Gugu, Muzi, Nandi, Zivaii and Ezrah.
Funeral Service will be held at Northmount Baptist Church (451 Northmount Dr NW) on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to service.
