Chad Rickaby
April 10, 1981 - July 21, 2019
Chad William Rickaby was born on April 10, 1981 in Calgary, Alberta. He was baptized November 15, 1992. Chad and Deborah were married September 16, 2000, and their two beautiful children Hayley and Kaitlyn were born in 2005 and 2007.
Chad is also survived by his father, Doug (Sandy); mother, Claire; three siblings, Tammy (Charles) Riske, Steven Rickaby, and Amanda (Chris) Hale; as well as his nieces and nephews.
For many years Chad was known by his friends and family to be a caring and considerate person, who loved his family and loyally served his heavenly father Jehovah. He had a great sense of humour and was always making everyone laugh. The bible teaches us life in these last days are “filled with trouble and sorrow,” and that we live in “critical times”. (Ps. 90:10; 2 Tim. 3:1-5). In his last years, Chad faced inner problems that overwhelmed him and changed him emotionally, mentally and spiritually, making him a different person. Through these difficult times Deb stood by him and proved “Her value is far more than that of corals” (Prov 31:10). Proverbs 14:10 says, “The heart knows its own bitterness, And no outsider can share in its joy”. While we will never understand just what torment was in his heart, we take comfort in knowing that Chad’s future is in the hands of our loving God Jehovah, and that “he well knows how we are formed, remembering that we are dust”. (Psalms 103:13, 14)
