Remembering Carolynne
Carolynne Otto, the daughter of Rudolph and Doris Otto and beloved mother and best friend of Teena passed away Monday, October 28, 2019.
At only the age of 56, her shortened life journey was caused by undefeatable complications caused by Cholangiocarcinoma. Although unbeatable, Carolynne took on this cancerous beast with a vengeance that awed all those around. Her “I can beat this” attitude never wavered, she truly was an inspiration.
Carolynne is survived and loved by her daughters, Stasey and Teena (Jakub Szczotka); granddaughter Alexis; sisters, Katharina Stephens (Danny) and Susanne Nielsen (Paul); nephews, Aaron (Trini), Kyle (Rachel), Shawn and great nieces Saydie and Lyla. She was predeceased by her niece, Brittany and grandparents, Phil and Hilda Virtue and Oma, Johanna Otto.
Carolynne loved to sing along to her favorite 70’s and 80’s music, enjoyed shopping for bargains and running errand for anyone who asked. Her most favorite recent pastimes were playing Skipbo with her dad and daughter Teena, and accompanying her mom to bingo games or a live performances put on for the seniors. Her most cherished memories will be the nature adventures with her family in search of the Forget Me Not Pond, the tallest Rocky Mountain’s waterfall or the oldest Cedar Tree.
Carolynne, your gift of giving, will never be forgotten and the gift of you can never be equaled. Till we meet again.
