Carol Jane Nishimura
Carol passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was the 3rd of the 4 “King girls” born to Mona & Gordon King of Three Hills, AB. While at university in Edmonton, she met Carl, her devoted husband of 54 years. They settled in Edmonton to raise their family and where she had a rewarding career as an elementary school teacher for 30 years. Carol’s generosity and joie de vivre created a large community of friends and family with whom she shared many laughs and adventures.
She will be forever remembered by her husband, Carl; her children, Warren (Tammy) of Calgary, Kevin in Edmonton, and Tamiko in Montreal; her grandchildren, Ethan, Taylor, and Aya; and her sister, Darlene (Jim) Frank of Ottawa. Carol was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Anna-Margaret Maaskant and Shirley King.
A Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at Knox United Church in Three Hills, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory can be made to Parkinson Association of Alberta.
