Bruce Webster
May 11, 1950 - April 9, 2021

Bruce Edward Webster passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2021.Bruce began his journey May 11, 1950 in Souris Manitoba. Later he moved with Mom and Dad to Brandon MB, followed by Calgary, Medicine Hat, Edmonton and finally back to Calgary. He lived his last years with our sister Fran Hansen. Bruce was number 4 of 5 children to Dorothy and Charles Webster. Bruce was named after Mom’s brother Bruce Smith (England).

Bruce was predeceased by Mom and Dad (Dorothy and Charles), Brothers Jim and Bob, Chris (wife) and brother-in-law Ron Hansen. Bruce is survived by his sister Fran, brother Brian (Brenda), Aunt Nance Simmonds (son Kevin Shelvey), sister-in-law’s Aiko (Jim) and Heidi (Bob), Jason (Gina) Webster, Chad Neufeld. Nephews: Marshal (Crissy), James (Donna), Nieces: Kristy (Lee), Michelle (Mike/sons Evan and Daniel), Shelley (Julie), Debbie {Anton/son Zach}, Kandy. There are many more cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides of the Atlantic.

Bruce put his heart and soul into whatever he was doing whether it be work, relationships or the odd drink. He worked at various jobs throughout his life including being a sales person, handyman, owning his own appliance repair business, 2nd class Power Engineer (halfway to 1st class) and maintenance manager at Gateway Bowling Alley.

In his younger years he was a stock car racer in Calgary, avid golfer and 10 pin bowler. He coached many people in bowling which led him to his final job at Gateway Lanes. Bruce’s sense of humour was second to none and had a joke, or 2 or 3 or 10 for every occasion. Bruce left a lasting impression on all people that met him.

A special thanks to the responding EMS units, Calgary Fire Department and Calgary Police Service for the care given in his time of need.

Bruce would not want you to mourn rather raise a glass or 2 and toast to celebrate his friendship.

Respecting the COVID restrictions there will be a celebration of life for Bruce at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to The Calgary Humane Society.
