Obituary for Bruce Lane Fowler

Bruce was born on May 30, 1957, and grew up in wonderful places like Port Hardy, Yellowknife, Campbell River, Vancouver and Kelowna. He graduated from Kelowna Senior Secondary and following in his father's footsteps, joined Pacific Western Airlines/Canadian Airlines/Air Canada in Calgary and Montreal. Bruce loved to travel and was an avid fisherman, golfer, a good game of pool and, of course, a Calgary Flames fan!

Bruce will be remembered by his family and many friends for his sense of humour, the backyard BBQ’s that lasted well into the night, his infectious laugh and a welcoming heart which created new and long lasting friendships.

Bruce was predeceased by his wife Linda (nee Allen), his father Carl and mother Yvonne and is survived by his daughter Christy, sisters Charlene Stickney (Brian) and Kim Fowler (Stu Reid), many nieces, nephews, 'cuzins' and the extended Allen Family.

Bruce's family has chosen to hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Announcement will follow once a date is determined.

In memory of Bruce, donations may be made to Calgary SCOPE Society which assist with the rehabilitation of those with developmental disabilities.

We would also like to thank Lloyd and Mike for their unwavering support and South Centre Health for their compassion.
