It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Hop Kai Law announce her passing, after a brief fight with cancer, on Friday May 3, 2019, at the age of 77 years. Betty has been preceded in death by her parents, brother, and her husband, Dr. Macey Milner. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Paul, Amy & Ed, Lisa & Ben, and will also be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren, Mitchell, Mathew, Amelia and Jonathan; her stepson, Marvin Milner and family, and her sisters, Alice and Karen, and their families.
Betty dedicated her lifetime selflessly to her students, friends and family, and was exceptionally proud of running her own business, Betty’s Gift Corner. Betty touched everyone that she came in contact with and always left a piece of herself in everything she did. Betty dearly loved to laugh, had amazing perseverance, and often created her own traditions.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Choice Memorial (105, 4715 – 13 Street NE, Calgary, AB). Her ashes will be brought back to her birthplace, where she will join her parents and brother in peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Betty to Vecova Centre for Disability Services and Research
