Obituary for Bernice Halas (Wawryszyn)
HALAS, Bernice January 26, 1931 Montreal, Quebec - April 30, 2021 Calgary, Alberta
It is with great sadness that Bernice our much loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother has passed away. Bernice is survived by her children, Joe (Patti), Chris (Mike) Glister and Ron (Jane), as well as numerous grandchildren, Meghan, Katie, and Michael (Bianca); Natalie (Jamie) Pierce and Katy (Brent) McCallum; Stephen, Robert, and Angela as well as three great grandchildren Olivia; Hadley and Hayden. We will miss her very much. Bernice was pre-deceased by her husband, Joe of 36 years in 1992.
Our mom loved her family, travelling, quilting, making perogies, baking, and knitting baby hats for newborns at the Rockyview General Hospital.
An extreme heart felt thank you to all the staff of Revera McKenzie Towne Retirement Residence (Aberdeen Unit) for taking care of Bernice while she lived with her dementia there for the past four years.
No service will be held with arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial & Cremation Services (403) 277-7343.
