Obituary for Audrey Doreen Zielsdorf (Cuthbert)

Audrey Doreen Zielsdorf
May 19th, 1930 - November 22nd, 2019

Audrey was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, to Roy and Annie Cuthbert. She was the eldest of six siblings and is survived by four; Jean, Shirley, Jonathan and Patricia. They were predeceased by their brother Robert in 1987. Audrey married George Zielsdorf in 1948 and they raised their family of two sons, Gregory and Wayne, in Edmonton, Alberta. George passed away suddenly in 1977, leaving a great void in Audrey’s life.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Audrey was firm in her faith from the time of her baptism at 10 years old, until her death. George and Audrey spent their first years of marriage in Quebec in the full-time ministry, preaching during difficult times. Teaching others Bible truths brought great joy to Audrey throughout her life. One of those Bible truths was the hope of a resurrection, the hope Audrey now awaits. “If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service until my relief comes. You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” —Job 14:14, 15.

Audrey will be greatly missed by her family and friends but especially by her sons, Greg’s wife Dawn and their children, Amber(Curtis Mills), Ashley and Shane(Jade).

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 9110 Fairmount Drive SE, Calgary Alberta.
