Obituary for Audrey Yvonne Storey (McCosh)

A. Yvonne Storey
1931 – 2021

With sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of their mother Yvonne Storey at the Bow View Manor care centre on Monday, May 24, 2021.

Audrey Yvonne Storey, “Bonnie” to her friends and family, was born October 1931 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. She is predeceased by her husband, Barrie Storey and daughter, P. Lynne Buist. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, D. Lorraine Storey and son-in-law, Allan Mayder.

Bonnie attended one year at Regina College followed by University of Alberta, where she obtained her BA in 1952. She worked for one year after obtaining her degree in the library at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. She returned home where she married Barrie Storey in November 1953. The couple moved to the family grain farm near the village of Girvin, Saskatchewan. Two daughters were born, Patricia Lynne in 1954 and Deborah Lorraine in 1957. In the summer of 1969, the family moved to Calgary, Alberta.

Bonnie enjoyed reading, listening to music, doing crossword puzzles and eating chocolate. She was an experienced sewer, baker and knitter. She encouraged her children to pursue their studies and to save their money. In her later years, she enjoyed travel to Continental Europe, the British Isles, Spain and Portugal.

Rest in Peace, Bonnie. You will be missed.
