Audrey Ruth (Stone) Myra was born on November 22, 1932 in Dog Pound, Alberta and passed away November 21, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta.
Audrey married Frank Myra in 1952 and their love for, and loyalty to each other remained strong until the last moment of their time together when Frank passed in 2018. Audrey and Frank raised their five children in Bowness and were proud to be a part of the community spirit there. Whether through work or her involvement in the Bowness Community Association and the Springbank Heritage Club, Audrey made many lifelong friends. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Audrey is survived her children; Pearla May Brandenburg (Ron), Martin Myra (Cathy), Beverly Schneidmiller (Sam), and Laurie Pederson (Ian). She is also survived by her brother Robert Stone (Valerie); her close cousin Monty Van Duzee (Barbara); her daughter-in-law Valerie Merrells; her grand-children, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Frank, her eldest son, Robert (Bob) and her parents, Fay and Pearl Stone.
She is lovingly remembered by the caring staff and residents of BowView Manor; those at Cochrane Bethany previous to her move to BowView, as well as members of the Springbank Heritage Club, who all became extended family. She touched the lives of so many, as she shared her gift of playing the piano right up to mid-October of this year.
Due to Covid restrictions, a gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
