Arlene Jordan
August 18th, 1948 - Friday, April 21st, 2023
Arlene Jordan (Mehrer) born August 18, 1948 in Lethbridge, Alberta passed away on April 21 , 2023 at the age of 74 , but her larger-than-life persona and trademark smile will never be forgotten.
Arlene loved scrapbooking, cross-stitch, and looking for the best deals every Tuesday thrifting with her sister Linda, along with the lights and sounds of the casino spending $5.00 at a time, and her many adventures with the gang from the Mountainview apartments.
Mama was affectionately known for her “live and let live” attitude, knack for telling it like it is, and ability to shock a room with a quick comment. These skills were not only handy, but were necessary for her survival when it came to her greatest accomplishment - raising her 4 boys. Although formally receiving her education for Accounting, Arlene found her true calling and love in being a foster mom to several young men/women throughout the years.
Arlene is survived by her pride and joy, sons Tony Scott (Christa), Jay Scott, Cary Jordan (Jessie), and Kurt Jordan (Nicole); grandchildren Delaine, Paul, Teale, Jaylene, and Evangeline; siblings Linda Reid, Melvin Mehrer (Margaret), and Alan Heinricks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving mother Olga Heinricks and her youngest Sister Holly Renner.
The family wants to thank the staff at Mountainview Apartments (Silvera), George Boyack, and Dr. Shakoor for the care that Arlene received.
