Obituary for Anneliese Katharina Schmidt (Mueller)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anneliese (Anne) Schmidt of Calgary. Anne was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Al and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Heidi (John) Mathers and John Schmidt, fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Brennan and Keegan, and missed by her faithful companion Lexy.
Known for her friendly generous nature, Anne enjoyed camping, travelling and spending time with her many close friends and neighbours. Anne touched many over the years with her work caring for the children of St. David’s Time Out program, and accompanying special needs children on the trip of a lifetime through Air Canada’s Dreams Take Flight program.
Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, memorials or donations may be made in Anne's memory to Dreams Take Flight or a charity of your choice.
In the 11th hour I thought of ways to commemorate our love,
when I realized throughout the worse moments that day/night,
we held each other tight.
