Obituary for Anne Violet Stancer

Stancer, Anne (nee Grande)
June 5, 1944 – October 19, 2020

Anne was born in Drumheller and after living in various small towns, moved to Calgary in 1953. She completed her High School and after working for a few years, proceeded to complete her Payroll Management and Human Resources Management at the University of Calgary where she received her CHRP designation, which was a source of pride to her. She was an avid hockey fan with the Calgary Flames being her favorite team. She loved camping in her trailer and travelling to faraway places.

She leaves to mourn her husband, Chuck; daughter, Nancy (Keith) Hadley and her grandson, Miles Estey. She also leaves her nieces, nephews, and many cousins, as well as her life-long friend, Annette Romuld.

It is Anne’s personal decision not to have a Funeral Service. Flowers are gratefully declined, however in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, (or as an animal lover) the Seeing Eye Dogs, as this was also a favorite charity of Anne’s.
