It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Angela “Kiki” Karadimos on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the age of 86 years after a courageous battle against cancer. Angela passed away at Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks surrounded by her loving family and close friends.
Angela was born in Athens, Greece the youngest of three daughters. She and her husband Peter married in 1964 and immigrated to Canada in 1970. Angela was an extremely accomplished seamstress who took great pride in her work. She worked for two prestigious women’s clothing stores, Jane Bennett and Country Club Casuals in Britannia for over 25 years. Angela was an extremely kind-hearted, caring and devoted woman who was loved by all who met her. Angela would always say “be kind to people and they will be kind back”. She lived her life by those words. She would do everything and anything for anyone. She will be truly missed.
Angela will be greatly missed by her loving daughters Mary and Jeana Karadimos of Calgary. Angela was predeceased by her loving husband Peter, her sisters Tasia Daskalou (Greece) and Dora Goudeli (Greece) and her parents Maria and Nicko Limniou (Greece).
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her amazing family doctor Dr. Michelle Cunningham, Pat Silva her Palliative Care Nurse and all the amazing staff and volunteers at the Foothills Country Hospice for their attentiveness and loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Foothills Country Hospice.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent SW, Calgary, AB) on Monday January 27, 2020 at 10:00 am. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery for those who wish to attend, followed with a reception at the church’s hall.
