Obituary for Allan Keith Sinclair
Allan Keith Sinclair peacefully stepped into eternity with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, after a short stay at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary. Allan is survived by his children, Bill (Barb), Don (Patti), and Debbi; his grandchildren, Sean, Michael, Mackenzie, Cassidy, Jaclyn, and Ty, and is predeceased by his granddaughter, Courtney. His is also survived by his sisters, Margaret, Lorraine, and Alice (Gary), and is predeceased by his brother, Robert.
Allan was born in Strathmore on March 14, 1935 and was raised on a farm in Namaka. When he left school, he worked at several farms in the area until he moved to Calgary. There he worked for the Alberta Government for 31 years until his retirement in 1991.
His favourite hobby was woodworking, developing basements for friends and family, and building furniture. Notably, he did additions to the family home in both 1978 and 1981. He became an active member of his church where he volunteered in many areas and was a long-standing member of the Mens prayer team. Daily, you would find him studying a bible or two for a couple hours each day. He cherished this time with his Lord.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at at 2:00 pm at Thornhill Baptist Church (128 Tache Ave NW, Calgary, AB).
