Allan Gawley passed away on December 1, 2019 at the age of 76 in the Salvation Army Agape Hospice in Calgary, Alberta after losing his 20 month battle with cancer.
He was lovingly surrounded by his wife Margaret, two sons, James (Yordania) and Daniel (Lorna), and his daughter Tracy (Murray), who were at his bedside in his final hours of his life. Allan will be missed by his three grandchildren, Scuylar (Jeremy), Caleb and Gabrielle, and two great-grandchildren Kingsley and Everett. Allan was pre-deceased by his brother Rene (Barb), and will be dearly missed by his sisters Helena (Vaughn), Rita (Bill), Johanne (Rick), and Kathy (Mark).
Allan was an avid golfer, artist/craftsman and bricklayer. In his younger days he played old timers hockey and was an all-around handyman and lover of the land. When not on the golf course you would find him outside tinkering, fixing, working on his land or simply enjoying the view.
Memorial Service will be held at Falconridge Family Church (155 Falconridge Crescent NE) on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
