Obituary for Alice Annie Prystupa

Alice Annie Prystupa
Nov. 2, 1946 – Nov. 5, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister, aunty, great aunt and friend. Anne passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on Thursday, November 5, 2020.

She leaves behind sisters, Kay Mistafa, Stephanie Bordt and Margaret (Mark) Coulombe; brothers, Wally (Barb) Prystupa and Peter (Eugenia) Prystupa as well as many nieces and nephews.

Anne was raised on a farm in Great Deer, Saskatchewan and attended Clearsprings School. Later she moved to Saskatoon with her sister Stephanie. In 1972 she moved, along with Stephanie's family, to Calgary. Anne quickly educated herself, found a job and moved out on her own.

When she retired, Anne dedicated over 1000 hours to volunteering at the Kerby Centre in Calgary. In March of 2019 she was chosen as Volunteer of the Month and she was so proud of that moment. She was always cheery, kind and thoughtful.

Anne was also a devoted Catholic and a volunteer with the CWL at St. Gerards Parish. Her faith gave her strength. We will all miss you Anne. Now in Gods hands - may peace be with you.

In lieu of flowers you may forward any donations on Anne's behalf to the Kerby Centre in Calgary. Interment will be held at a later date in Orolow, Saskatchewan. To view and share photos, condolences and memories of Alice, please visit www.choicememorial.com.
