Bill passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27,2020 at the age of 93 in his residence at the Academy of Aging Fish Creek Park.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Rick (Carla); daughters, Bev (Randy) and Barbara (Terry); six grandchildren, Bailee , Lane , Curtis (Sharmaine), Christopher(Sharlee) ,Tricia, and Debra(Ryan); nine great grandchildren, Keenan, Kalen, Jordan, Cohen, Eowyn, Hunter, Luke, Sydney, and Ben; and one great great granddaughter, Aubree. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Jane; his brother; four sisters; his first wife, Patricia (mom); his son, Mark Edward; and his second wife, Ann.

Bill was a great husband, father and grandfather. He always put others needs before his own. His smile, generosity and kindness was infectious to all who knew him. He was also a true gentleman to all the ladies, that great smile got all their attention.

Bill was born and raised in Calgary where he lived his entire life. He worked for the CPR for 41 years the majority as an engineer. He took great pride in his appearance as his overalls were always starched and pressed with a white shirt and tie to top it off.

For most of his life he enjoyed sports of all kinds (hockey, football, golf) as well as any outdoor activities like gardening, biking, and walking his dog.

For many years, they travelled south to escape winter and get on the golf course and spend time with their many friends. He especially enjoyed family get togethers, eating a meal, seeing the little kids and having a glass of wine or two.

Bill will be missed by all who knew him!! He often said that he had a great life and had no regrets! The family wishes to thank all who gave him the exceptional care in his final months.

Bill will be cremated, and a Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held in the spring of 2021. To celebrate Bill, smile at someone or raise a glass of wine in his honour. To view and share photos, condolences and memories of Bill, please visit www.choicememorial.com.
