Obituary for Albert Edward Russon
Russon, Albert “Al” Edward
It is with great sadness that the family of (Al) Albert Edward Russon announce his passing on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the age of 83.
Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Sheila; son, Peter (Viv); daughter, Wendy (Shawn) and grandchildren, Sidney (Dave), Tayler (Jordan), Eric and Evan (Krys) and great grandchildren Emerson and Nathan. He was predeceased by his son, Colin.
Al was born in Middlesbrough, England where growing up he enjoyed many outdoor pursuits and on emigrating to Calgary with his family in 1967 his love for the outdoors continued. Al & Sheila built a cottage in Spur Valley, BC with Al as the foreman and Sheila as his apprentice, they spent many happy times there with family and friends.
Al loved to fly fish and downhill ski in the Columbia valley, even more when joined by his beloved family. Al was much loved and will be missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al’s memory to S.T.A.R.S.
