Albert (Al) Allen Cleveland
February 21, 1943 - January 3, 2021
Al Cleveland, beloved father of Tyler Cleveland and Darren Cleveland, passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Tianna Cleveland, TJ Cleveland, Gabby Cleveland, Owen Cleveland, and Phionna Cleveland; his brother, Clarence Cleveland and his wife Evelyn, their children, Karen Huk, Lori Bowzalo, and Jodi Parent; as well as his former wife, Lorraine Cleveland (Ference); brother-in-law and wife, Ken and Ermeline Ference and their kids, Michael Ference, Lisa Plamondon, and Claire Whitney He was predeceased by his mother, Anne Kurpil and stepfather, George Cleveland
As a lifelong Albertan and career educator, which spanned Teacher, Principal, Superintendent, and Consultant, Dad lived and worked in numerous areas throughout Alberta, most notably, Kitscoty, Sedgewick, and Edmonton/Sherwood Park. Upon retirement, he moved to Calgary to be closer to his kids and grandkids. During his life, Dad had a zest for travel, and his enduring gift/lasting legacy that he passes on to his family is that love of travel and curiosity about the world around us.
With current COVID restrictions, the family will be deferring any celebration of life at this time. Should you be interested in attending a yet-to-be-planned Celebration of Dad’s Life (hopefully in the Spring), please email tyler.cleveland@shaw.ca.
