Adelina "Nina" Clements
October 5th, 1949 - July 12th, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nina Clements on Friday, July 12th, 2019 at the age of 69. Nina is survived by her husband Dave Clements; her children Maricel Mendoza, Marlon Escanela, Marissa Agapito and Maritess Francescone; grandchildren Mikael Pascua, Samantha Mendoza, Khamill Pascua and Rudy Ramirez; brother Nick Eloursa; sister Nenita Campusano; sisters-in-law Maria Luartes and Dory Eloursa; as well as nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren in the Philippines. Nina was predeceased by her parents Antonio Eloursa and Julita Morillo Eloursa; brothers Nelson Eloursa, Cesar Eloursa and Emilio Luartes; sisters Cely Laberinto and Josefina Gonazales.
Nina was born in Oas, Ligao, Albay Philippines. Her family moved to Calauan, Laguna Philippines shortly after her father’s passing. Nina moved to Canada in the 1990s to work as a caregiver and in hopes of providing a better future for her children. She met her husband Dave in 1993 and they were married in June 1995.
Nina retired in 2007 and decided to look after her granddaughter Samantha. Her joy in life are her grandchildren and spending time with her family in the Philippines.
Nina’s last wished was for her to be cremated and her ashes brought back to the Philippines to be laid to rest next to her mother.
Visitation and Prayers will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Parish (1100 Berkshire Blvd. NW) on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11:00 am. Reception at the church hall will follow after the Mass.
