Obituary

Randy Tarrant
March 10, 1963 - Saturday, April 6, 2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Randy Paul Tarrant on April 6, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta.

Randy, the Man from Newfoundland, was born on March 10, 1963 in Botwood, a fact he was commonly found boasting about to friends and family alike. Upon growing up in Calgary, Randy met Susan, his high school sweetheart, the two were wed on June 16, 1990. Randy was a man known for enjoying the simple things in life be it a weekend at the lake with Susan, making sure his lawn was the most manicured on the block, or enjoying a laugh around the dinner table with his family. He enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment operator and had a passion for his truck which he could often be seen rolling in with the windows down and the music up.

Randy had a contagious sense of humour that is sure to be remembered by all that knew him.

Randy will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Susan; his children, Austin, Dylan, and Brooklyn; his father, Herb; his siblings, Rick (Kelly), Tony (Diane), Brad, Darryl (Shannon), and Sheri (Ken). Randy was predeceased by his mother, Joan Tarrant.

My wife and I met Randy and Susan in 2012 when we leased a RV lot in Pigeon Lake. John and Donna introduced us. Randy and Susan driving into the All of our weekend get away “truck windows open, music playing and Randy waving saying Hello and we are here”. Anyone who meets Randy for the first time meets a person who wants to know you and wants to be there. At our lot, we started a fence where you sign it with paint. Randy wrote “ NEFFiE”. He loved his heritage and loved where he was born Newfoundland. Susan and him flew the flag proud at their lot. While Randy laughs and we bugged him about how he signed the fence I truly believe like the person he is he made sure we knew it was him who signed it. Randy is truly one in a million you meet. He is as you see him. Ready to be your friend. He will be beside you or holding you up when called apron. As I have commented before Randy We are all better of a person for having you in our lives. I am going to miss you but never forget you. You have touched so many people and your spirit will live on. I will always cherish our times around the evening fire with all our friends. You always had a joke, an opinion, an extra lyric to a song and your banter with us and especially to the love of your life Susan. Luv ya Randy.
