Neil Russell Armitstead
August 1, 1938 - March 29, 2019
Neil Russell Armitstead, born in Edmonton, Alberta, on August 1, 1938, passed away peaceful in his Calgary Nursing home on March 29, 2019. He was 80 years old. Both his children, Dean and Deborah, had the privilege of being by his side. He will be missed by his children and their spouses, Lou-Anne and Bill. He is also survived by his brothers Mearle and Roger; and sisters Doreen and Gloria. He will be missed by his grandchildren Dylan, Devon, and Amy; his great-grandchildren Emmy, Oaklyn and Haidyn; and extended family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Russell and Hazel, and sister Gayle.
Neil loved life. He had a passion for business and loved his horses. He was an accomplished traveler, developer, and farmer. He was a great leader, father and brother. He was a friend to many.
The family thanks the staff of Bow Crest Nursing home for their dedication and care of Dad.
