Ryan is survived by his wife Kosha; son Nicholas and daughter Isabelle; father Larry (Shirley) and mother Heather; brother Jared (Kyla); nephew Asher and niece Ada; aunts Helen and Pam; uncle Don, and cousin Shane.

Born in Port Alberni, Ryan was the oldest son of Larry and Heather Mallory. He lived on Sproat Lake and enjoyed an active outdoor lifestyle, including boating, swimming and fishing. Ryan was also very talented in art, sports and leadership. He attended Sproat Lake Elementary, Klitsa Junior Secondary and after Grade 9, attended Shawnigan Lake Boys School. There, Ryan was on the rowing team, rugby team and learned how to speak Spanish.

Next Ryan moved to Victoria and attended Camosun College where he enrolled in the carpentry program. He then moved to Calgary in 1999. Later, Ryan worked on many projects around British Columbia and Alberta, Puerto Rico and Fort McMurray. He then worked in Fort McMurray from 2005 until 2014. On September 22, 2007, Ryan married Kosha.

Ryan was a devout church member. He attended Crescent Heights Baptist and was always a happy, faithful volunteer there. Ryan enjoyed spending his spare time with his family; he was an awesome son, husband and father. Ryan will be forever in our hearts.

“AS WE BECOME MORE AWARE OF THE TRUE PRESENCE OF GOD, AT THE VERY CENTER OF OUR BEING, INNER PEACE WILL BE THE RESULT” (Dennis Merritt Jones, D.D.)
