It's with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joanne Simpson on January 24, 2019. Joanne is survived by her sisters, Lise and Lynn (Jipi); her daughter, Stephanie; son-in-law, Dwayne; grandchildren, Baillie, Meadow and Keagen. Joanne was predeceased by her husband, Don (Oct.10 2018) and her parents, Claude and Anita.
Joanne was born on March 04, 1952 in Montreal, Quebec. In 1972 Don and Joanne got married and moved to Calgary to meet up with her long-time friend, Linda of 51 years. Joanne had passion for baking and cooking, she always made sure she had something freshly baked when you came over. Joanne made sure that you never left hungry. Along side to Joanne's baking and cooking, she had a great love for dog's especially her Pomeranians. Joanne loved to read a good mystery book and would read many books in a day. She loved going out with her long-time friends for special occasions. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Extendicare Hillcrest for all their care and support during her short stay.
An Open House Celebration of Joanne's Life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Rundle Community Centre, 2409 - 50 Street NE, Calgary, AB.
