Obituary for Wayne William Hynes
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Wayne Hynes on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the age of 72.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Tegan (Justin), Shane (Rya), and Jordan (Agatha). His grandchildren, Avonlea, Halston, Evan, and Beckett will remember their Grandpa for the unconditional love he gave them, and the Timbits that came along with it. Wayne will also be dearly missed by his older brother, Barry (Irene); his baby brother, Kent (Donna); and his many nieces and nephews which he humorously referred to as his Godchildren. Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Donna, of 43 years.
Wayne had a long career with CP Rail that moved him and his family from Montreal to Calgary, then eventually settled in Cochrane, AB with his wife. Wayne was a popular man known for his “friendly banter”, and loved hosting happy hours on his deck, at the cottage for friends and family. His passing was sudden. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
