June 13, 1931 - February 4, 2023
Prince Albert, SK – Calgary, AB
Beloved wife of David Wick; dearly loved mother of Randy McMillan, Barra de Navidad MX; Susan Jaeger (George) of Barrhead AB; and Lori McMillan (Bill Christian) of Silverton BC. Grieved by David’s children, Dennis Wick (Louise) of Bolton ON and Valerie Wick of Okotoks AB. Deeply missed by sisters, Joan Atkins of Calgary and Dianne Woodman of Victoria BC. She leaves numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Vivian’s contagious smile, cheerful, vivacious personality attracted and cemented friendships wherever she lived. As an Air Force wife, after many transfers throughout Canada and Europe, her address book became a treasured possession. Her ability to connect dates, times, places, and people from her long life was truly remarkable. Married to David for 48 years, he was the love of her life. They experienced endless adventures. With Calgary as home for over four decades, she enjoyed skiing and hiking in the mountains, curling and golfing. Grandma and Grandpa Wick provided many happy memories in the motorhome for all. Vivian was happiest when there was another bend in the road and new people to meet. Her journey inspired everyone around her to live their best.
Cremation has taken place. A private Commemoration of Vivian’s Life will be held in Summer 2023.
Donations may be made in Vivian’s memory to Rosedale Hospice. The family is grateful for their compassion and the extraordinary care she received at their hands.
