Obituary for Taylor Alexander Carswell

Taylor Alexander Carswell
February 21, 1992 – June 8, 2022

It is with tremendous sadness we announce the sudden passing of Taylor Carswell on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the age of 30.

Taylor will be deeply missed by his mother, Shauna Carswell; father, Thomas Walker; stepfather, Shane Jordan; and sisters, Courtney and Aimsley; grandparents, Louise and Brian Cerri and grandmother, Linda Jordan; he also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, co-workers and friends who are also mourning a life gone much too soon. Taylor was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Jim and Carole Carswell; grandfather, Tom Walker; and grandfather, Art Jordan.

Taylor was a down to earth, kind soul who was always willing to help people when called upon. Taylor could be counted on for a quick quip or witty reply, always finding the humour in a situation. He was a Journeyman Electrician, something he achieved incredibly early in his life – it was a fantastic accomplishment for Taylor, and everyone was extremely proud of him. He enjoyed many hobbies and was a car enthusiast, gamer, and camper to name a few. Taylor took pleasure in fixing up old guitars, riding his motorcycle, spending time with friends and more than anything he loved his cat, Morty.

A private Celebration of Taylor’s Life will be held at a later date, to memorialize Taylor and his life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Taylor’s memory The Calgary Food Bank.

Although we seem so far apart,
You’re always here within our hearts.
You filled our lives with joy and pleasure
You were to us a precious treasure.
A little while shall pass and then,
We’ll see each other once again.
Loved, remembered and held so dear,
In minds and hearts you’re always here.
