Sylvia and Errol moved to Cochrane with her stepdaughter Laverne and her family for the last 4+ years of her life, after her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s. When possible, she attended the Church of God of Prophecy—Renewed Life Fellowship in Calgary, Alberta, with Laverne and her family.

Sylvia was a woman of diverse talents and passions. Her love for gardening was evident every spring, as she diligently tended to her garden, adorning her home with vibrant flowers. She also found joy in caring for her husband and maintaining a neat home.
