Love Leaves A Memory No One Can Steal
It is with sadness and joy as we say goodbye to our dear mother, grandmother and friend Sharon. Sadness because those of us who are left behind feel the loss and sadness, but with great joy. Sharon was so ready to meet her beloved Jesus. When she would talk about going home to be with Jesus; Sharon would absolutely glow. We can say, "Till we meet again" as we know that we will see Sharon again in heaven.
During her life, which was difficult most of the time, Sharon Exhibited a great passion for kindness and caring for other people. She was known for her beautiful smile. Even to the end of her days, Sharon would have a gentle attitude and big smile for everyone. Her sense of humour was infectious.
One of the joys of her life was going camping. Even recently with two of her grandsons she went on a weekend camping trip. Hot dogs and s’mores were on the menu.
Sharon enjoyed music and singing. Fond memories will be shared with many people Sharon worked with at a day care centre for 20 years. She talked about how much she loved working with the children.
A member for 16 years at Calgary East Church of the Nazarene, here we saw Sharon busy with the children’s ministry. Faithful to the church and different areas of the church she was asked to help in she was always ready and eager to do so. There will be a big hole in the church where Sharon, her daughter Brandie and grandchildren would sit, and hugs and love were shown to each other throughout the service or in other parts of the church.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Candace (Rodney); six grandchildren Micheal, Mitchell, Daniel, Nicholas, Amanda and Avery. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph, daughter Brandie, and twin sons David and Darcy.
Funeral Service will be held at Calgary East Church of the Nazarene (5420-8th Avenue SE) on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 1:30 pm. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
