With great sadness, we announce the passing of Sardarni Sarbjit Kaur Aujla on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 in Calgary, Alberta with her family at her bedside at the age of 78.
She was the cherished wife of Sardar Shavinder Singh Aujla; loving mother of Jasvir Kaur (and her husband Bharpur Singh), Jaspreet Singh (and his wife Davinder Kaur), Harpreet Singh (and his wife Harleen Kaur), Gurdeep Kaur (and her husband Harsimranjit Singh), Amanpreet Kaur (and her husband Kamalpreet Singh) and Gurpreet Singh (and his wife Simerdeep Kaur); the adored grandmother of Talwinder, Raganpreet, Maninderpal, Dilvar, Hartaj, Roshanminar, Ainayat, Gurnaaz, Harparinaaz, Amaanat and Harfateh. She was a loving sister, aunt and was beloved by many.
In 2002, she decided to move to Canada to be closer to her family. Her strong devotion to her prayers led her to the Gurdwara daily. She found comfort and peace in her daily prayers. Moving forward without her in our lives will be difficult, but we promise to make her proud of every step we take in our lives and we will continue to build the Aujla legacy that Sarbjit spent her life creating.
