Ronald (Ron) William Patrick
June 5, 1952 - July 4, 2022

The family of Ron Patrick is saddened to announce his passing on July 4, 2022 at the age of 70.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Liz; daughters Tammy (Kirk) Wasylik; Cheryl (Troy) Lake; and his only son Shawn. Five grandchildren: Cassie (PJ) Morrow, Steven (Kassy) Hough, Larissa (Aaron) Patrick, Brendan Wasylik, and Caleb Lake. Four great grandchildren: Anabelle, Soren, Kellen, and Dylan. One cousin: Greg (Brenda) Wilton.
He will also be missed by many brother in law’s, sister in law’s, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Faye; his brother Kim and sister Julie.

Ron was born and raised in Alix/Red Deer area. In the early years he raised his family in Lacombe, Red Deer and Sherwood Park. During the later years he spent time in Nova Scotia.

Ron was a hardworking husband and father who persevered through many life challenges while still striving to be a good provider for his family. For 35 years Ron was a trucker. He loved his career and excelled at it, traveling all over Canada and the US.

He enjoyed family get togethers, socializing with friends and dinners out.
Ron was a fan of Wrestling, the Calgary Flames, Stampeders, and Toronto Blue Jays. Attending games with his son Shawn was one of his greatest joys.

Ron spent his final years at McKenzie Towne Long Term Care,in the dementia unit. The family wishes to thank the staff for six years of care and compassion.

“I will not say goodbye, I will only say see you soon.”

Interment and Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
