Richard “Rick” Neely Oxner
May 21, 1948 – November 1, 2022
Richard Oxner passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Calgary, AB at the age of 74 years.
Rick will be missed and remembered by his loving wife, Debra; children, Becky, Tara and Ryan; grandchildren, Tanner, Sydney and Tyson; brother, Warren; nieces, Kortney, Dena and Jessica; nephews, Marshall and Cameron; mother-in-law, Donna; father-in-law, Ted; aunt, Barbara; brother-in-law, Brent; as well as many other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, John Oxner; mother Jeanne Oxner; and brother, John.
Rick was born in New Brunswick and was a 2nd class Power Engineer and a Class 1 Trucker. He loved fishing, camping, classic Cadillacs and fixing things. He had a fiery temper but was kind and always had life advice to give with his “my way or the highway” attitude. Rick always took extreme pride in any task or job he did. “Do it right the first time!” was his motto. His favorite saying was, “for &*%$ sakes!”. He loved to share stories with friends and family. He always put family first, never himself.
