Obituary for Rachel Marie Hallson (Guay)
Rachel Marie Hallson, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 29, 1956, in St. Boniface, Manitoba to Roger and Anna Guay.
Rachel loved people around her and helped them in any way she could. She was rarely still. She also shared her love for food by often making a new delicious dish she just found a recipe for and adjusting it to her liking. Baking with her grandchildren and spending that time was important to her. Sitting down with friends and family was her favorite pastime, to eat or just have a coffee, she always took the time to connect and share stories with each and every one she was with. That is what she thrived for. We are all going to miss those talks and her cooking.
Rachel is survived by her sister, Pauline Harty; her two sons, Sterling McLeod and Cameron McLeod; her daughter and her husband, Lise McLeod and Cam O’Neill; grandchildren, Lukas McLeod, Kaitlyn McLeod, Cali O’Neill and Myles O’Neill; her nephews, Albert Desrosiers and Patrick Desrosiers; niece and her husband, Colette and Mike Romans and great niece, Joey Romans.
Please join us in celebrating Rachel’s life on Saturday April 30, 2022, between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm at Choice Memorial Rocky View Chapel (243256 Garden Road NE, Rocky View, AB). For those who are not able to attend the Celebration, you are also able to watch via LiveStream at either via YouTube or via via DaCast and lastly at via Calgary AV Player.
