Obituary for Noel Donald Norman Betts
With a heavy heart we announce that Noel Donald Norman Betts passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the age of 49.
Noel was born October 4, 1973, to Martin and Marie Betts in Calgary Alberta.
Noel attended Sir William Aberhart High School and received his GED in 1995. After high school, Noel worked at RGO for several years, then started his endeavour as a small business owner of his carpentry company.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and generally being outdoors. He was extremely creative with wood working and building. Noel spent much of his time tinkering on projects and collecting antiques, his favorite being lighters. He was an avid pool player, he belonged to the 8 ball Slayers for over a decade.
When Noel’s sons were young, he loved going to hockey games, lacrosse, soccer, scouts, and baseball. He would go on bike rides, camping trips and fishing trips as often as he could as he cherished those times with his boys.
Noel is survived by his three sons, Nickolas Betts (Amylia Gillespie), Joseph Betts, and Jakob Betts; their mother, Kari Betts; his parents, Martin and Marie Betts; brother, Terry Betts; sister, Arlene (Brad) Dean, and two nephews, Zachary and Colby Dean; as well as many aunts, uncle and cousins.
