Obituary for Michael Trent Somers
With great sorrow, the family announces the passing of Michael (Mike) Trent Somers on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at the age of 39. Mike was a loving son, brother, and friend.
He leaves to mourn his mom, Gwen Somers and stepfather, Richard Meyer; his dad, Keith Somers; his sister, Tammy Benjamin-Noonan (Kevin); his brother, Tim Somers (Karen); his sister, Teryl Burry (Jonathan); nieces and nephews, Steven, Kristian, Kianna, Kendra, Kaitlyn, and Chelsea; Hailey and Sarah (whom he loved and thought of as his daughters), many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Mike enjoyed hiking, camping, gaming, music, animals, and spending time with family and friends. Mike was hard working with a talent for being the jack of all trades, in the construction industry.
Mike had a great sense of humour, quick wit, infectious smile, a big heart, and a kind and compassionate spirit. He accepted people for who they were, without judgement.
We are blessed for the short time we had with Mike and will cherish every moment. Mike is very much missed and will live forever in our hearts. To honour Mike, be kind to others and brighten their day.
A private immediate family gathering was held instead of a service.
