On Thursday, May 27th, 2021, Dorothy Laliberte (Hendry) passed peacefully to transition to be with Creator.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Francais, Steven (Nola), Patsy (Lloyd), Shannon (Steve), and Jason (Bethanie); her grandchildren whom she proudly adored, Samantha (Adam), Amber, Shania (Aaron), Karly (Derek), Landon, and Abby. Dorothy was also a loving big sister to Loretta Jennings, who she loved fiercely and was protective of her “lil stir”.
She was a very special Aunt to Starann, Curtis, Lisa, and Deborah who all shared a mutual love and an unbreakable bond with Dorothy. Her many great nephews and nieces loved her like a grandmother, and she adored them all, always so proud of her role in their lives. She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew Laliberte; her brother, George; and her niece, Deanna.
Dorothy had the biggest heart, sharing kindness and love to her friends and strangers. She was always grateful for kindness towards her and always so polite to all. “Thank you” was one of her words said often. She was a hard worker who took so much pride in her job, something she did for many years.
Dorothy was very creative. She loved to make crafts and jewelry and was very talented in the things she made. Dorothy made beautiful jewelry for her family that will be treasured by all that were lucky to receive such meaningful pieces.
Her laughter and smile and warm heart will be missed by all her family and friends. She was so loved by her family. Family mattered most to her. The family wishes to thank SkyPointe Hospice for the loving care they took of both Dorothy and the family, it was greatly appreciated. To know that Dorothy passed with her dignity and sense of humour intact was all that they could ask for.
