It is with heavy hearts, the family of Martin Neal announce his passing on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the age of 80. Martin was born in London, England to parents, Gladys and Leonard Neal. He married the love of his life, Jan on July 13, 1963 in Sutton, and in 1974 moved his young family to Canada and settled in Calgary.
His career as a printer began in England and continued at The Calgary Herald, later starting his own successful printing business, Tower Printing. Through this, he created strong relationships and many lifelong friends.
Martin was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He was a devoted family man and a man of great faith. He enjoyed helping others, including his work at various charities and ESL through his church. He was a great storyteller and loved a good joke.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Jan of 59 years; daughter, Joanne; son, Andrew (Michelle); son, Austin (Sonnie); grandchildren, Asha (James), Charlotte and Tristan; sister, Vivien (Edmund); and extended family in England.
He was a good man who will be deeply missed by his beloved family and friends in Calgary, British Columbia and England. The way he lived was a testament to his values and his example will live on in others. There will be no Service held at this time.
