It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Margaret Mary Ross on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta. She was 91 years old.
Margaret was born in Montreal, where she met Allan Ross and married in 1953. They had 6 children and relocated their family from Montreal to Calgary, by train, in 1966.
Margaret loved spending time with her family camping in British Columbia. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed knitting for her 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a warm, kind, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Allan Ross of 69 years of marriage; and her six children, Debra Millican (Arnie), Brenda Lavoie (Rene), Sandra Ruel (Hubert), Terry Ross, Linda French (Dan), and Lorna Hadala (Dave). Margaret was predeceased by her grandson, Justin Ruel; parents, Jeanne and Daniel Warren. She had eight siblings with one surviving, Tom Warren.
We will all miss you and we love you! Until we meet again! Rest in Peace Mom.
The family would like to thank Dr. Steed for his never-ending caring and advice! We also want to thank the staff at Academy of Aging Manor Village Fish Creek.
There will be no funeral. The family will have a private mass and will spread her ashes at a later date.
