Obituary for Lynn Aron Danielson

Lynn Aron Danielson
August 10th, 1941 - Monday, March 22nd, 2021

Lynn Aron Danielson was born August 10, 1941 in Watrous, Saskatchewan, and passed away peacefully in the City of Calgary, Alberta on March 22, 2021.

As a young boy, Lynn lived in Young, Saskatchewan before moving with his Mother, Father, and younger brother to Smiley, Saskatchewan where Lynn attended school.

Lynn worked as an Instrument Engineer for several engineering and oil companies in Alberta before starting his own company. Lynn’s work, which he thoroughly enjoyed, took him in many directions having worked in Libya, Malaysia, Japan, Gabon, and London.

Lynn’s passions were riding his dirt bike and reading. Lynn loved to ride at Waiparous and McLean Creek, and in the winter Lynn enjoyed snow biking in the mountains at Golden and Revelstoke. In November last year, Lynn’s friends presented him with a commemorative plaque reading: “Lynn Danielson – A true Alberta off road legend! Over many decades Lynn has brought together hundreds of riders from all walks of life to enjoy our shared passion of riding and the great outdoors. Thank you, Lynn, for all the great memories that will forever remain in our hearts!"

Lynn was also an avid reader and enjoyed engaging in conversation with others regarding various topics found in articles and books that he had read.

Lynn is survived by his best friend and partner of 42 years, Suzanne Rohl, her family, and by his brother Hugh Danielson of Red Deer, Alberta. Lynn is also survived by his son and daughter, Mark Danielson and Janet Coles, and their respective families.
Lynn was predeceased by his parents Edgar Allen Danielson and Eveline Danielson.
