Obituary for Perry Hogberg
Lorne Perry Hogberg
May 2, 1959 – February 25, 2023
Lorne Perry Hogberg beloved son of Clarence and Donna Hogberg passed away peacefully at Southwood Hospice, Calgary Alberta after a long and brave battle with cancer. Perry (as he was known to us all) was 63 years young at the time of his passing.
Perry never married nor had children however he will be dearly missed by his father Clarence Hogberg from Regina, SK., his siblings, Judith Coueslan and Ray from Calgary AB., Rogerg Hogberg (Candace) from Regina SK., Trevor Hogberg (Rayelle) from Roseville, California and all his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Perry was predeceased by his grandparents on both sides as well as his beloved mother, Donna Hogberg.
Perry was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and spent his early years as a Warrant Officer with the Royal Regina Rifle Regiment. After his discharge he went into a career in sales and continued on that path for the rest of his work life. Everyone who knew him marvelled at his gift for gab and his ability to remember and recall obscure facts. You could not beat him at a good round of trivial pursuit!
Perry was known by generations of our kids as “The Uncle who Guarded the Christmas Tree” and there will always be a special place for him in our hearts and under our trees. Perry you will be forever missed by all of us but for now, you can run again straight into moms arms.
