April 26, 1963 – May 21, 2022
Lionel Graham Millington, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks, AB.
Lionel leave behind his daughter, Katrina Millington-Olorenshaw; his mother, Vivian Millington; brothers, Frank (Tara) Millington and Doug (Chris) Millington; sister, Haley (Richard) Heufner; and uncle, Mick (Jean) Benoit; as well as all of his nieces and nephews, Jesse (his mother, Theresa), Brooklyn, Jordan, Tanner, Emery, Kassandra, and Christopher.
Lionel was born in Calgary, Alberta but grew up partly in the United States. He had spent time in Louisiana and it was there that grew a love of big, haunted houses. He used to build a big attraction in the NW neighbourhood of Ranchlands, that hundreds of kids would come to see. He managed the OK Tire Store at Richmond Road SW for more than 20 years and spent all his spare time taking his daughter camping. He was a proud father and loving dad, and an important member of his community.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lionel’s memory to Foothills Country Hospice.
A Celebration of Lionel’s Life will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 3:15 pm – 9:15 pm at Sandy Beach Park, Calgary, AB. We will be at Site #9 and limited to 20 people at a time.
