Kevin Francis Power
September 9, 1956 – October 22, 2023
Kevin F. Power, beloved husband of Beth Power, passed away in Calgary, AB at the Dulcina Hospice on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 67.
Besides his loving wife, Kevin will be missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Tyler Power (Marci Power), Matthew Power (Adria Wisniewski), and Emma Power (Jason Siddall), all of Calgary; grandchildren, Jackson Power, Piper Power, Myles Siddall, and Rowen Siddall; and his mother Catherine Power. He was predeceased by his father, Michael J. Power.
Kevin was born in Calgary, AB to Michael and Catherine Power. He was a devoted husband to Beth, a loving father to his three children, and was a beloved grandfather to his four grandchildren. Kevin loved helping people, and so he enjoyed his work as a Financial Advisor and found great fulfillment volunteering for five years as a Prison Chaplain. He was a lover of the outdoors and an avid hunter, fly fisherman and adventurer. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus – being a Grand Knight from 2016-2018. Kevin will be dearly missed by his family, and by the many people whose lives he touched over the years.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Choice Memorial (105, 4715 – 13 Street NE, Calgary, AB). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00 am at Ascension Catholic Parish (1100 Berkshire Blvd NW).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin’s memory to either Tom Baker Cancer Centre via Alberta Cancer Foundation or to Dulcina Hospice via Covenant Care.
