Obituary for Jordan Robert Lee Mulligan

Jordan Robert Lee Mulligan (April 12, 2002-February 25 2024) passed peacefully surrounded by love after a long battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. He will be forever loved by his parents Shannon and Sven Wright, and Dustin Stewart, his siblings Emma (Shawn), Joshuah, Tyler and Isabelle. He will be greatly missed by his grandparents Ivan Mulligan, Barbara Mulligan, James Stewart, and Livia and Terry Wright, his great grandma Celia Stewart, as well as his aunties and uncles Casey Mulligan, Kaetlin Mulligan-Lewis and Jaymes Lewis, Jon and Jill Stewart, great aunt Cindy Allan, and numerous other extended family members. He will be greatly missed by his second family, best friend Travis, parents Dori-Ann and Ron and almost siblings Warren (Logan), Alex and Corrisa. Waiting for him on the other side is his beloved Grandma Grape (Christena Harper) and Grandma Sunday Stewart.

Jordan was a friend to everyone and never knew a stranger. He was incredibly kind and motivated. He dreamed of being a Heavy Duty Mechanic and studied at SAIT while undergoing treatment. He loved Warhammer and Airsoft being on teams in both. He could talk about Warhammer for hours and made many beloved friends. He built models until the day before he passed. He loved football and played on 2 different teams in high school. He loved fishing, camping, and participating in Scouts. He frequently could be found helping out his Grandpa Ivan with projects, or working on vehicles. They loved having whiskey nights and watching movies. He volunteered for years with the Barn Safety Program and will be greatly missed by his Stampede family. His Favorite things were Star Wars (and his pups, Luke and Leia), lord of the rings, Supernatural and Harry Potter. He loved tattoos and picked a few for his friends and family to choose from.

Jordan fought valiantly and will forever be remembered as a rockstar. When told at diagnosis in March of 2020 that he had 3 months to live he laughed and told the doctors “You don’t know me” he then proceeded to break all the statistics. He would always say that he is immortal until proven otherwise. He will stay immortal in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

As a family, we would like to thank the staff, doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker, especially Dr. Henning and Dr. Jordan, for their amazing efforts and support over the years. They believed in and fought with Jordan the entire way. We would also like to thank YACC and Kids Cancer Care for all the support.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Center (5600 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Details are available on social media.
