With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jordan Brian Joseph Merritt, 24. Jordan died unexpectedly at his home in Calgary, Alberta on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
Jordan was born September 2, 1996 in Moncton, New Brunswick but spent most of his life between Calgary and Victoria
Those who know and love Jordan feel the unbearable grief that is the result of this loss but take solace in the cherished memories we hold dear and the stories we share. Jordan had a zest for life; showered kindness on those around him without asking anything in return; was always there to help others; enjoyed writing songs capturing his life experiences in what he wrote; was passionate and happiest when listening to all genres of music; singing and dancing. We will miss his smile and infectious laugh.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Darcy, Laurie and Kevin, Brian and Dana, Lynn; his siblings, Kaitlyn, Scott, Jenna, Kelsey, Tyler, Loni, Taylor and Charlie; nephews, Bentley and Kingston; niece, Lily; Aunt Katie and Uncle Dave, Dustin and Eli, many friends, and his loyal companion Ash, his cat. He is predeceased by his brother, Chris, his Grandma Judy and Papa Bonnell.
